Wow, what an exciting day!!! We were expecting Ellie at the beginning of May, but she decided to make an early debut! I went in for my bi-weekly monitoring Thursday morning, and to my suprise left the doctors office to pack my bags and wait for a call from Dr. Owen for instructions on when to head up to the hospital. It was a little shocking .. especially for T.J. who received a call at work informing him that we were most likely going to have our little Ellie "tonight"!! Of course Ellie picked a memorable evening to come .. a huge hail storm hit just as we were about to leave the house for the hospital. We arrived at Covenant a little after 5:00pm, got checked in and Dr. Owen broke my water at about 5:45PM. Ellie's heart rate was dropping with my contractions, so Dr. Owen did not feel comfortable letting me go through labor. We had Ellie via C-section at 7:31PM. No labor pains made for an easy delivery (well, until I had to get out of bed the next day).Ellie is perfect!! How thankful we are for a safe delivery and a healthy baby girl. At 3 weeks early she is petite weighing 5lbs 9ozs and is 18.5 inches long. We thank you all for your prayers and support through the pregnancy and we ask that you continue to keep us on your prayer list as we start this next exciting phase in our lives. One of my good friends down here in Houston, Kristy, is married to your brother's good friend Chad. She read a comment that Joanne posted on my facebook updating me on you having little Ellie and made the connection. Small World!!! It is so good to see you and your little girl.
